OSensei Joe Puleio - Head Instructor, American Jiu Jitsu Federation

  • Trained with Lanada in Lanada arnis
  • Primarily trained under Bob Malvagno (American Kobe Jiu Jitsu) [[1]]
    • Bob Malvagno was the former head instructor US Treasury Dept., Bureau of Customs.
    • Bob trained under Ted Rossi (Ted brought Hakko Ryu to Long Island ... separate from Palumbo)
    • Ted Rossi trained under James A. Benko
    • James A. Benko was the first western Shihan in Hakko Ryu under Shodai Soke Okuyama Ryuho [[2]]
    • Okuyama Ryuho was as student of Sokaku Takeda (amongst many others) [[3]]
  • Trained with Grand Master Shoto Tanemura in Kokusai Jujutsu Renmei, received godan during Tanemura's trip to the US in ???? (numerous other black belts received rank as well at the same time).
