Technique Videos

Videos of belt techniques (not all of them, but quite a few). Techniques should first be practiced in the presence of a qualified instructor. As always, use caution. Also, techniques are demonstrated by mere mortals... so there may be mistakes.

Photo Archive

The photo archive does not include all photos... just some of the better ones. When contributing, please self-sort, and only upload photos that are in-focus, of decent quality, and that tell a story. We have limited storage space. Please attribute any new photos to a date, time, and place. Identifying what's happening is even better.

Test Videos

For students who recently took your test. You'll need to be on the "justtested" Moira ACL. If you don't have access, but think you should, e-mail sensei@mit.edu. For those who tested a while ago, you may check out a DVD copy of your promotional exam from the AJJ@MIT Club Library... we sort them by date.

Club Library

The club owns a significant collection of martial arts books and videos. Students are welcome to check any of these out. If you're not sure about which books might be a better read or more pertinent to your interests than others, ask a sensei.

Gis, Escrima, and Safety Equipment

The club makes gis, sticks, cups, and other equipment available for purchase, for the convenience of its members.

We offer significant discounts over the retail price of the items below. However, you are welcome to purchase necessary equipment from anywhere you like. Remember, students are required to wear a white gi unless they have earned their instructor certification (black pants), or have been recognized as Student of the Year (blue pants). Black belts who have earned their instructor certification may wear black gis.

AWMA Gladiator Judo Gi, White, and see the sizing chart for AWMA. - We offer all sizes for $50.

ATAMA Kimonos - We provide a ~20% discount for ATAMA gis for club members.
